It's true that no pro-life people and none of the pro-life people want the woman to be punished but if you've been newly converted to being pro-life and you suddenly realize how terrible it is for a baby to be killed inside the mother's womb you might be tempted in your newborn zeal to want to punish the woman but that's just because you're zealous and you're new to the cause. It does not mean that you necessarily are a fake pro-life person. you may simply have not thought out the issues completely just like being a newborn Christian you might not know all the theology.
